If your child is new to hockey, we run seven-week programs throughout the year to introduce them to the sport, learn basic skills and have fun. These are generally for children under 10 years old.
Hookin2Hockey runs in Term 1, and Stick2Hockey runs in Term 2 and 3. Your child can do these in any order, both are designed as pathways into our Juniors Winter Competition.
Sessions run on Saturday at 9am KP Hardiman Reserve (Plenty Road, Bundoora).
This program is coached by Zach Shipman.
HOOKIN2HOCKEY
Hookin2Hockey gives young boys and girls the opportunity to learn the basic skills and rules of hockey. The program is fun and safe – designed for beginners to get involved, make friends and start a lifelong love of hockey.
Registration and fees are processed directly through Hockey Australia. This is $75 per participant. If you do not have a hockey stick or shin pads, please talk to us as we often has spares that can be borrowed or given. Children must bring their own mouthguard and shoes.
STICK2HOCKEY
Stick2Hockey is a natural progression from Hookin2Hockey and helps participants develop their skills further as the move toward traditional club hockey. This program introduces modified game formats and an intra-club competition.
This program is $75 per term – to register please email us.
